I have been a Seattle freelance musician for many years, having played with orchestras such as Northwest Sinfonietta, Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera and Pacific Northwest Ballet and have had an active chamber music life. In addition, I have been a regular participant in studio work, recording soundtracks for movies, videos and CD's.  Before moving to Seattle, I was a member of the Charlotte Symphony for eleven years. I have taught viola and violin off and on throughout my career, including time spent as viola instructor of Davidson College (Davidson, NC). My teaching and coaching has involved individual private lessons and also coaching ensembles and orchestral sectionals. My training was at Peabody Institute (on violin), State University of New York at Stony Brook, and North Carolina School of the Arts, where I received a master's degree in viola performance.
